Madtrini.com
is the brainchild of Colin M.R. Clarke, a 28-year old artist from Diego Martin
in the twin-island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. He attended
Queen's Royal College from 1984 – 1991, where he fell under the tutelage of
local artists Jackie Hinkson, Anna Seraou, and Ken Reyes (current Art teacher

Colin
Clarke has been playing music in one form or another since childhood. In secondary
school, he was a guitarist and then bassist in his year group's stage band
''Magnum Sounds'' (each year had its own version of Magnum Sounds).
It was the latter involvement in particular that fuelled his desire to create
his own music. At York University, he had his first opportunity, as a founding
member and bassist of the band ''CICADA''. The now-defunct band became
a staple of the downtown Toronto club scene, and had been on the verge of
being signed by BMG Records when the members
parted ways in late 1995.
In December
1999, back home in Trinidad, he joined the blues-rock band ''SOULBIRD'', which
went on extended hiatus a few months later. During that time, he did a brief
stint in ''PSYKIK'' before forming the band
BLISS with the drummer from ''SOULBIRD''
and a guitarist/vocalist they met while in ''PSYKIK''.
The band is now preparing to record its first demo. For more information on
BLISS, click here.
